NOTE:
Some patch makers charge you a set-up or digitizing fee.  The price of digitizing alone can cost you from $35 to $500.00.  Thread Slingers does not charge for either.  However, we may require a deposit to create your patches/colors.  The deposit is how you prove to us that you are serious about ordering patches.  Your design can take upwards of 8 hours to create. We may go back and forth several times before we get it right.   In other words, we work with you until the design meets or exceeds you're highest expectations.  For that time, we ask that you place an order with us. Any and all monies collected as a deposit will be applied 100% to your patch order. So if you're serious, the deposit is simply a small down payment against your patch order.

What is Digitizing?:
Digitizing - Meaning to convert an image or idea into an embroidery file.  This digitized file is then used as a set of instructions for the embroidery machine itself. (what to sew, how fast, stitch direction, color and so on). (No it's not as simple as loading a picture and magically creating a perfect patch.  "I wish it was!"   Digitizing center patches for example can take1-8 hours to create.  We do this for free for our customers.
Merrow vs cut to shape
Merrowed edge vs. Cut to shape?
The patch set at the left has both Merrowed and cut to shape edges.  The rocker has a merrowed edge while the center patch is cut to shape. Why the difference you ask?  The merrowing process is a separate machine from the embroidery machine. The center patch has sharp inside corners that can't be reached by the merrowing machine.  Therefore it can't be merrowed.  You should keep the overall shape of your patches with smooth edges if you want the merrrowed edge.

I hope this helps,
